Diapath is a company located in the province of Bergamo, specialized in the development of instruments, reagents and consumables aimed at the world of pathological anatomy.
The architectural intervention carried out by the Gherardi Architetti studio envisaged a distribution of the internal spaces designed to maximize user comfort through the creation of a central material body, intended for services, which creates a distribution path for access to all the offices.
Xilia was responsible for designing the cladding of the central core which, as per the needs of the artistic direction, had to combine aesthetic rigor and functionality.
The design choice led to the use of smoked eucalyptus, a natural material that gave an elegant and welcoming appearance to the work space, integrated for the occasion by horizontal light cuts, placed on the lower part of the covering, giving the volume an effect of suspension and lightness.
The service doors are perfectly integrated and coplanar with the cladding, contributing to a rigorous, clean and uniform design.
The installation of four screens integrated into the boiserie represents a communicative element that can be used for company information, welcome messages or other visual communications, a gesture that goes beyond the aesthetic aspect of the wall covering system and marks a new dimension, the functional one.
